Reading Orders is your guide to consuming popular culture in an order that makes chronological sense. For a lot of stuff – maybe even most stuff – the order it came out in is pretty much the right order to read or watch or listen to it in. For everything else, there’s Reading Orders.

Most of the time, the stuff that appears on this site is stuff that I personally am interested in. But if there’s something you really want to see that doesn’t appear here, don’t hesitate to get in touch by email or drop a comment here. Let me know. If I’ve missed something cool, I want to correct that oversight as soon as possible – for my sake as well as yours.

If you’re looking to find out what’s new here, on almost every page of this site you can find a list of the latest stuff in the right column, whether it’s an entirely new page or an update to an existing one. In addition, a message will come up next to the page title the first time you visit any page here. On the front page, you can find a constantly shifting selection of 16 of the best pages this site has to offer.

I hope I’ll see you here often šŸ™‚

  1. I like your site. Is there a chance you could do a regularly updated guide to the Marvel Cinematic Universe?

    • Hi Brian. I’m currently in the process of migrating the content of this site from its original home at The Centre Cannot Hold to its new home here. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is one of those elements, so I’ve moved it up the queue to bring it here sooner. You can find the official version here, and a different version with more crossovers here. Hope this is what you’re after šŸ™‚

  2. Thank you for the effort in creating and maintaining this site. I would love to see a complete reading order for the Marvel Masterworks on their own – if that is possible.

    • Thanks Shawn. It’s on my list, but I’m waiting on getting access to the collection of a friend who owns them. When I do get them, I plan to add them to both the main timeline and a separate one just for them.

  3. Hi, can someone tell me every universe that crossed/cross over with Marvel & DC Main universes??

    • Every universe is a tall order, not to mention the question of which crossovers are canonical and which are not. It’s a project I’d love to attempt, but this site keeps me pretty busy as it is.
