There really are very few words that can sum up the sheer crassness and awfulness of Ultimatum. While it’s true that almost all of the Ultimate titles other than Spider-Man were dropping off in quality, allowing the one writer whose title had shown the most precipitous drop to write a big universe-changing crossover was not the answer. Truly breathtaking in its banality and terrifyingly unconvincing in both its plotting and its characterisation, this reading order is included only for completeness’ sake.
It can be found here on the main timeline.
Notes:
- Noteworthy solely for being the only title bannered “March on Ultimatum” that actually had anything to do with the story.
- This is also one of the stupidest names for a crossover ever: at no point does any of the alleged masterminds behind these events issue anything that even resembles an ultimatum.
